Jack Carter is back from London to his hometown in Doncaster to attend his brother's funeral. Frank's dead body was found inside his car at the bottom of a cliff next to an empty bottle of scotch, much to Carter's surprise. It just don't make any sense to him. Taking advantage of his connections, he starts to do some research on his own to find out what happened really, but soon is requested to stop for good by his bosses and to get back sharpish to London, as the local Doncaster crime bosses start to get itchy by his sole presence in town. Now, Jack's a sensible wise man, but will not hesitate to turn into a ruthless executioner till he finds out who is guilty of his brother's dead.
